Abstract Painting is a personal experience for the painter and the one who views it

Its been a while since I hopped on the blog bandwagon but I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your support! Im thrilled to share my new work of abstract paintings and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

For me abstract painting is quite a personal experience. I paint what Im feeling and going through and what that day holds. A lot of times the music Im listening to inspires a mark or stroke or color and the energy of my studio will eventually fill the canvas. There are sometimes I can feel the energy is not there and I won't even go in my studio. As I've gotten older I've really started to tune in to my body and mind and its amazing how much Im learning about myself! Heavy emotions and feelings might bring heavier and bolder marks and the same goes for when I'm feeling especially light and airy, I might have more pencil and delicate lines.

I love color and I love expression and I'm so grateful I am able to express it in a way that resonates with others. My goal is bring a memory or emotion or smile to the viewer. If that happens, even for a split, second I feel successful.
